• THAI LIGHT SOY SAUCE, MADE IN THAILAND: Brewed from soybean and wheat. Thinner and lighter in colour than dark soy sauce, with a clean savoury taste that seasons a dish without darkening it.
• 80% SOYBEAN EXTRACT: Soybean extract, brine and sugar. No added colour and no flavour enhancers. The soybean content is what gives it body.
• LIGHT SOY SAUCE VS DARK SOY SAUCE: Light soy is the seasoning bottle, used for salt and umami. Dark soy is thicker and sweeter, used for colour. Most Thai and Chinese recipes calling simply for soy sauce mean this one.
• WHERE TO USE LIGHT SOY SAUCE: Stir-fries, fried rice, noodles, dumpling dipping sauces, soups, marinades for chicken and tofu, and salad dressings. Also the seasoning for a vegetarian Thai green curry, in place of fish sauce.
