Naurangi Dal is a unique variety grown in the hills of Uttarakhand. The name Naurangi refers to the nine distinct colours of the grains. Cultivated in the mutli crop system of the regions medium to high altitude areas, it reflects the resilience of the mountains and the wisdom of age-old farming traditions.
